SSMU was the only Russian representative at the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare held in the USA
Evgeniy Ripp, director of SSMU Simulation Center presented three reports at International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH-2016, San Diego, USA). Evgeniy was the only speaker from Russia.
“The participation in such a conference can help establish new connections with leading specialists in simulation-based medical education and medical equipment manufacturers. We study new technology and techniques to be one of the first to implement them in Russian medicine and education”, said Evgeniy Ripp, director of Center of Medical Simulation, Attestation and Certification, SSMU.
International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH-2016) is the largest healthcare simulation conference. IMSH-2016 held more than 3000 specialists in simulation-based medical education from 56 countries: doctors, engineers, professors, researchers, managers, 98 exhibitors from 13 countries. The conference featured 300 break-out sessions and 325 educational courses.
SSMU Center of Medical Simulation, Attestation and Certification was established in 2011 for training and education of medical specialists. Today it is one of the two centers in the Russian Federation to have received accreditation from SESAM (Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine). In 2015 SSMU received the highest accreditation status (III) fromRussian Society for Simulation Education in Medicine.
